The Pacifying Police Unit (UPP) in the Pavão-Pavãozinho-Cantagalo (PPG) complex was installed on December 23, 2009. The UPP, part of a pacification program in Rio de Janeiro, aimed to combat drug trafficking and bring public services to the communities, in addition to ensuring greater security for residents.

The history of the PPG, also known as the Cantagalo-Pavão-Pavãozinho favela complex, is complex and dates back to the pre-republican period of Rio de Janeiro. The region, located on the border between Ipanema and Copacabana, has a strong spatial identity with its communities.


Saint-Roman Street, located in the Copacabana neighborhood of Rio de Janeiro, is a quiet, residential street known for its views and tranquility. It overlooks the sea and mountains, creating a serene environment. The street was created in the 1940s and was initially inhabited by wealthy families from Rio. However, with the favela process, many of these families left the street, but with the pacification, the street had a second life. CANCELLATION We enforce a strict cancellation policy, available on the booking confirmation. GUEST RESPONSIBILITY All properties are privately owned. Owners are not responsible for accidents, injuries, illnesses, or loss of personal belongings on the property. Guests are responsible for fines or penalties arising from violations of laws, building regulations, or apartment rules. Payment must be made before departure. REASONS FOR EVICTION Guests may be immediately evicted without refund in the following cases: Police problems related to illegal drugs or any other illegal behavior in Brazil. Violation of the terms of the lease. Disturbing neighbors, loud parties, prostitution, negligence, drug use, property damage, or disruptive behavior. Loud noise after 10 p.m. (Brazilian law requires silence after this time). Eviction will be communicated by the doorman or landlord. ENERGY CONSUMPTION (Monthly Reservations) For monthly reservations, the electricity cost will be calculated based on the customer's consumption at the end of each month.
